In 2020, I launched The Jazzy Cactus, a boutique born out of a simple "passion for fashion" but without a clear mission. For four years, I wrestled with the identity of my boutique. What made it unique? What set it apart? I struggled to answer those questions until 2024, when God reminded me of something profound: missionary work doesn’t have to happen overseas. It begins right where you are.
God reminded me that being His disciple means living out my faith in every part of my life—including my boutique. As Jesus said in Luke 9:23–24:
"If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it."
I’ve been a Christian my entire life, and my boutique has been a huge part of it. But I had to ask myself a hard question: if someone looked at my boutique, would they know I’m a follower of Christ? That realization changed everything.
In 2024, I rebranded my boutique to Love, Elvy, inspired by my initials (LV) and a renewed purpose. This name reflects my Christ-centered mission, rooted in the commandment found in John 13:34–35:
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
Love, Elvy is more than just a boutique offering affordable and trendy fashion—it’s a ministry. It exists to inspire women to live as disciples of Jesus, fostering a community of faith, fellowship, and purpose.
Through this journey, I’ve come to realize that my boutique’s story isn’t mine—it’s God’s. He meets us where we are, equips us for His purpose, and calls us to use everything in our lives to glorify Him. I no longer struggle with my boutique’s identity because I now know: it’s all for His glory.
